Mortgage & Investment Consultants, Inc. is headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, with offices in Hudson, Wisconsin and Tampa, Florida. Our corporate offices are located in a new condominium-style office-building complex on the northeast side of St. Paul. We currently employ 35 positive, dedicated, hard-working professionals, and our staff is growing rapidly as our business grows. The office environment is business casual, and we operate around a core business day of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a flexible view toward schedules. LOAN OFFICER

Mortgage Processor
Working closely with Loan Officers and Lenders, our Mortgage Processors are responsible for processing mortgages through to close. We hire processors at three levels, with ranges from 1-5 years of previous experience upon hiring. We expect a professional attitude, superior customer service skills, strength in the areas of analysis, prioritizing, and communication, and a close attention to details. Though processors work independently, they also work as a team and provide back up and share lender knowledge with other team members.
Mortgage Opener
The Mortgage Opener is considered an entry-level position for those with previous administrative support experience in a clerical environment. Our Mortgage Openers provide administrative support to the Processors in a variety of capacities.
Mortgage Closer
The Mortgage Closer provides several levels of administrative support to the Processors, depending upon the Closers past experience, to ensure the smooth functioning of our correspondent lending business.
Mortgage Processing Administrative Assistant
The Mortgage Processing Administrative Assistant is considered an entry level position for those with previous administrative support experience in a clerical environment. Our Processing Assistant works on a wide-variety of projects and must have the ability to multi-task and have a strong commitment to detail and follow-through.
Loan Placement Specialist
The Loan Placement Specialists are experts in the loan programs available through the company and work effectively with hard-to-place loans. In addition, they administer the web-based financial tool, MoneyAbility.
Loan Placement Assistant
The Loan Placement Assistant requires both loan officer and loan processing experience. The Loan Placement Assistant will work between Correspondent Lenders and our in-house loan originators and placement specialists to obtain files from other brokers and get them approved and closed through our Warehouse Line.
Training Coordinator
The Training Coordinator works with the Training Director to support the training function of Mortgage & Investment Consultants, Inc., supplying high-quality training and materials, and supporting the recruiting and retention of high-performing loan originators.
Paralegal/License & Compliance Specialist
This is a dual position reporting directly to the in-house General Counsel. In addition to working on the company’s legal and other administrative matters, the Paralegal/License & Compliances Specialist also meets with loan officers to assist them with filling out their license applications and related forms, go over contracts and answer any questions they may have, and get them set up on the company’s systems.
Administrative/Recruiting Specialist
The Administrative/Recruiting Specialist works with both the Legal Department and the Sales & Marketing Department, working with the initial stages of recruiting and with on-boarding new loan officers.
Accountant
The Accountant works with the Chief Financial Officer in all areas of accounting and payroll functions.
